Connected Counties


Some counties do a better job than others when it comes to using information technology to serve residents. Each year, the Center for Digital Government surveys county governments to determine which ones top the list.

As was the case last year, counties on both coasts came out on top. Due to a few ties, 13 counties ranked among the top 10. Newcomers are Sacramento County, Calif., and Snohomish County, Wash. Bumped off: Alameda County, Calif. One of the few winners from a landlocked state, Tulsa County, Okla., made considerable progress, jumping up six notches to third place.
